Postcards for New York!

So, I splurged, I am off to New York for the SCBWI conference, and I am so excited and nervous. My good friends at JB Printing printed these postcards for me, I wanted something a little different, hoping to stand out a bit, it's a pretty big crowd of super talented people at this conference and I'd like to meet an art director or two that digs my work... So here's hoping for an excellent time and opportunity for all!

Illustration Friday is a chance for me to try different things - just for fun. Sometimes, when you get to draw for a living, you forget that you started out to have FUN... here is my very first try at Painter. I think I will like it a lot once I get in there a lot more...

Done like... the DINOSAURS!

I have had a rip roaring good time illustrating this book - Don't Invite Dinosaurs to Dinner -  it is the most art in the shortest amount of time I have ever done (my own fault) I promised I could. This one is written by Neil Griffiths and will be published by Red Robin Books this fall. Here are some images!

Sacré-Coeur Basilica by my 5-year old son who is obsessed with Parisian architecture, but not the modern stuff - the old stuff. We are working on a book together called The Platypus in Paris. I get to draw the platypus.
